Practicing Kinesiologist turn Program Manager is the TLDR (too long, didn't read) of my work history. Going into more detail I found that I loved helping people, but, working as a kinesiologist didn't hold the daily mental challenges I was seeking in my career. After graduating from the Master of Management program at the University of Calgary I started as an intern at Placeholder. Placeholder is a tech start up that allowed me to grow and learn from an intern, to a Strategy & Operations Manager, then finally into a Program Manager. As a Program Manager I was overseeing & creating multiple programs with implementation strategies that required strong cross-functional relationships, managing multiple projects at once, maintaining stakeholder buy-in and communication with senior leadership. In my spare time I'm the head coach of an elite female hockey team, the Calgary Fire White U15AA. I help develop and encourage the athletes to be the best versions of their selves by fostering confidence, amplifying skills and creating an environment for them to thrive in.
