Knowledge of chemistry is among human beings' greatest assets, and the field of chemistry has been my home for many years. Bilingual English-Portuguese Chemist with 10+ years of R&D, validation and Regulatory Standards Testing, I have acquired extensive technical skills in several lab equipment, procedures, and software systems, as well as Quality Management Systems, national and international regulations that enable me to lead advanced chemistry research and project development in fashion, environment and consumer products industries. I have developed a professional skill set that allows me to handle +100 projects/month with high-quality standards, creating long-lasting partnerships with notable companies like Amazon, Step-2, and Avon. Amongst my many accomplishments, I am particularly proud of significantly improving chromium VI detection test that allowed my team to reach MDL 0.0025 ppb, a 1900% improvement over our original goal. It not only became the the showcase but also a benchmark for the company. Previously, it was only possible to find such low MDL in Hong Kong labs and I could save thousands by achieving it myself for the local branch. I must also mention my key role in a project at the Metropolitan Art Museum of New York, in which I could utilize my knowledge to develop a chemical test to detect degradation in the protection materials surrounding the fine arts. Moreover, with my analytical and communication skills, I contributed to ensuring the proper use of machines by developing methods and teaching many teams to operate them in a variety of companies.Besides my hands-on experience conducting lab research, I have a solid knowledge of national and international regulatory standards, including tests related to the fashion industry such as AATCC and CPSC, standardized tests established by the ASTM and EPA, ISO, European Standards and standardized tests for electronic components as defined by International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).
