But I learned quickly that good parenting involves major sacrifice ....and that every bit of it is worth it!I kissed and hugged and spanked when necessary and always give my children the benefit of doubt.I stopped asking little ones "why did you do that?!?".. Because they have no idea.. And when we demand that, they are confused and scared right away because.. My responsibility was to let the people behind bars know that they are cared for they are also prayed for. Through the art of music the band and vocalists conveyed the Truth of Jesus Christ . And with the leading of The Holy Spirit we sometimes "had church" .. Of course any gift to ever support the ministry is always appreciated, but quite frankly it's on us and predominantly the director where finances are concerned. we are not supported or Affiliated by one denomination or one congregation or one Church we belong to the entire body of Christ and the world. This is a ministry of very important value to the correctional system.( often times these people need a change of heart befor they can live a changed life)The name is an acronym .. BEACON : MEANING...being excited about Christ of Nazareth.... sorry we're not your " come to me Jesus" in three Flats.. band.... we're pretty Lively. Sometimes we played out at other places besides prisons . like festivals Etc .... This was a fun shoot!All these kids impressed me with their professionalism .They were always ready to listen to any suggestions.
