Integrated Safety Team Leader / Safety Manager
CurrentServe as a key member of the Program leadership team, providing mentoring and coaching to Program managers and supervisors. Establish a Team culture that embraces customer service, responsiveness, and working in line with programmatic goals. Serve as the single point of contact for Program management and reach back resource to the ES&H Functional Areas for SME support. Maintain active field presence and direct the priorities of team members to align with Program schedules and deliverables, as well as establish accountability for quality and timeliness. Ensure that support reflects best industry practices and is consistent with applicable regulations, standards, and/or internal policies. Ensure that effective communication lines are established within the Team, as well as between Team and stakeholders (e.g., Program clients, other ISTs, ES&H Directorate,Functional Area, and Department of Energy (DOE)/National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). Provide support for programmatic or institutional assessments, including self-assessments, DOE audits and appraisals, internal assessments, and emergency work control preparedness/self-help drills or exercises. Provide leadership and direction to the IST during emergency response activities and act as ES&H Liaison to the Incident Commander. Collaborate with other ISTs, Functional Areas, and ES&H Technician Manager to optimize workload and address staff gap coverage, while minimizing interruption of Program activities and IST support. Mentor and function as a point of contact for career development for both technical and professional staff Team members.
