An ambitious, energetic person with many interests in life: a love of family, friends, food, travel, photography, fine and performing arts, cooking, cultural awareness, a passion for teaching, education, painting, football, animals, and appreciation for the aesthetic beauty in life....I am a person who lives my life to the fullest and embraces it all.As an art educator, I have over 20 years experience teaching classes from preschool through grade 12, and as an adjunct professor at Worcester State and Framingham State Universities.I have attended many MAEA conferences, and have presented at several of them. Most recently, and for the first time in my career, I attended the NAEA conference in Fort Worth, Texas. One of my goals is to become a presenter at a future conference.In the world of travel, I recently led a group of teachers to Paris, visiting museums and all the highlights the City of Light offers. I have spent lots of time in Italy, a favorite country, and the country of my descendants. My love for art, and it being the country of family origin, brought me to Italy for the first time as a student teacher many years ago. Three years ago I devoted a week in Cortona to drawing and painting the countryside "en plain aire"... One of my more remarkable artistic experiences. I strive to teach my students to see things in life: through the eyes of an artist. I teach a diverse curriculum, full of culture, nature, imagination and of course, emphasis upon the basic elements in art, which many take for granted. Teaching grades K - 6 within the same school, I have the pleasure of following my students, and watching their knowledge in art, and ability to create, grow and develop. I am proud to see progress made over years of teaching these children, and smile when I see influences of my teaching become so apparent in other school works, or future endeavors in life.My love for travel has brought me to many places, and I see more of it in my future.
