About Roberta Moore

After university, I landed a job as an Inside Sales Rep for a semiconductor distributor. I had not the foggiest idea about semi-conductors. But I had sales experience. I quickly found out that the inside sales team must bring stellar customer service to the table. I learned the value of honesty. Being the bearer of bad news was an art. No one wants to hear about substantial delays. At the same time; the customer rep. only had to provide the product delay to their boss once. This information was critical. Laying the cards out upfront worked well and became my key to success. I began receiving compliments and in some cases, A tap on my shoulder came from our customers. This position was the first time I became self aware of the power I held to change outcomes. I learned first hand the role that integrity plays. Morals and ethics may not get you to the top 🔝 as fast as possible, but your work will not go unnoticed. I realized later on that every part of my personal life choices, every person I met all put me on the fantastic journey I call my life. This realization came into play as I embarked on motherhood combined with a whole new direction. In 2002 I started my long and successful career in the housing industry. Starting at the bottom I learned every aspect of low-income and affordable housing programs. I received awards multiple times for productivity goals as well as excellent customer service. Promotions quickly followed. One example of attention to detail was finding a client who committed perjury. I was able to recoup $10,000 of overpaid subsidies. The agency received this as unrestricted funds. It was this type of dedication, program knowledge looking beyond the box, yet always working towards the company mission, that catapulted me to the next level. In 2010 I was awarded the seat ofDirector of the Clark County housing choice voucher program. This agency facilitated 10,000 HUD vouchers. After the merger of three Las Vegas Agencies I soon moved on. Working for Accessible Space, Inc. as Regional Portfolio ManagerMy last move was to a single apartment complex. Managing 250 senior units and 200 family units. Both low income tax credit properties. Both I was able to bring rent delinquent residents down 96% and lower discounts from 14,000 to $2,000 prior to departure. Excellent service, knowledge of all rules and regulations, fiscally conservative, ability to work with any type of person from any walk of life due to a “been there done that” understanding that everyone has a story.
