The Diabetes Foundation assists New Jersey residents who live day to day with diabetes. DFI provides short-term diabetes medications, supplies and support services to low-income, uninsured and under-insured people with diabetes while assisting them in putting a more permanent plan into place; DFI, also, offers diabetes education programs and outreach throughout the state of NJ; and, provides camp scholarships for children to attend the state diabetes camp.• Developed and managed the annual budget, corporate donations, charitable grants, and fund raising events;• Managed the growth of specific programs including medication assistance, patient support services, patient education, and volunteer involvement;• Assisted in managing public relations and marketing efforts;• Worked closely with the Board, Executive Committee and event committees to create, coordinate, implement and manage policies and programs;• Represented the foundation with the community, organizations, medical facilities and sponsors; • Cultivated relationships with healthcare firms, pharmaceutical firms, and diabetes related funders and organizations and, • Directed the Foundation’s office and staff, and coordination of monthly financial reports and office activities for Board and Executive committee.

Responsible for day-to-day supervision of staff and promotion of nonsectarian programs listed below for NCJW Essex County Section - a 3500 member nonprofit, volunteer-driven, organization dedicated to improving the lives of women, children and their families:• Director of the NCJW Center for Women - career services, computer classes, workshops for women and support programs for women and children.• Director of The Volunteer Network – created the first hard copy volunteer directory and CD• Displaced Homemakers Network – wrote yearly state grant to the State of New Jersey, Department of Children and Families, Division on Women. • Re-established DOVIA program (Directors of Volunteers In Agencies) open to Essex and all surrounding counties; offered monthly workshops on everything from creating volunteer manuals to how to fire a volunteer.• Launched the first Essex County Business Volunteer Council - mobilized meaningful employee engagement through volunteer service and workplace giving and enhanced corporate social responsibility initiatives.
