About Roberta Ward Walsh, Ph.D.

Dr. Walsh’s career blends experience in county and federal government with academic background in education, economics and social policy, applied to the field of public administration in higher education teaching, administration, research and service. She has held tenured, visiting and adjunct professorships in a variety of colleges and universities, most notably at Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) in Fort Myers, Florida where she began as one of the founding faculty members charged with developing the Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree program. Dr. Walsh earned Emeritus status at FGCU in 2009 for “…exemplary support of public affairs education…[and] a distinguished record of accomplishment both as an academic and public servant.”
