My role consisted of:• On-campus jobs included: leading or assisting workshops for visiting parties from various educational institutions. Corresponding with high profile university sponsors and partners that visit for business.• Building a rapport with potential applicants and future students, helping others to gain an accurate understanding of Staffordshire University as an institution and also as a potential future investment. • Perform a wide range of tasks from administration office work to working for businesses supported by the university, to individual and group interactions. This increased my ability to learn quickly and adapt well to new environments, and to appreciate different job roles.• Leading and working in a team -Leading workshops, being responsible for a group of students or working alongside other ambassadors exercised my leadership and team work skills. As I worked alongside many different people regularly, I interacted with people of different backgrounds, race, age, interests and personalities which positively impacted my personal and professional development. My role consisted of:• Teaching basic business and marketing skills to secondary school students in order to develop a product to promote to a panel of judges with a chance to win a national competition and have the product created and sold around the UK. • Being a part of a small team of facilitators on the days at each school, I either supported the lead facilitator when facing 200+ students, however when addressing a classroom of students I was lead and presented the day, so I have presenting and great communication skills. • OpportunitiesWorking for huge businesses and ambassadors like Lord sugar, Theo Paphitus, Alton Towers, Ryman/Leather Satchel Company and Gandy's flipflops. Travelling across the UK and working in 30+ schools with over 5,000 children (up to 360 at one time). This gave me the opportunity to meet a wide variety of different people of different cultures, religions, social class, race and ages.
