I have a rather unique background..... I received my Bachelor's degree in pre-Med in the late 90's, but took a hiatus before going to medical school and instead took a shot at entrepreneurship by founding a web-hosting company in Dallas called "Performance Hosting". I studied and learned about technology and web-application software development and built many software applications. The business became moderately successful over time, and I finally decided finish my education and go to Med School in 2002. I eventually sold the company to a competitor, and continued my dream of becoming a physician. I decided to specialize in Internal Medicine, and received my board certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine in 2010.However, after graduating from residency and looking to start my own practice, I found out just how difficult most EMR systems are to use to a doctor and decided that with my software training, I could make something that made more sense to a provider! After many hours and lots of work I finally finished building a prototype/demo. I eventually received the investment backing of other doctors and OneTouch EMR was finally born in 2011!
