As a Startup Leader, I assisted the development of a portfolio of early stage ventures that started at the concept stage and guided them through early sales. I led strategic planning, lean canvas development, partnered with founders to validate their business model hypotheses, supported MVP development, and connected our portfolio companies with industry partners to accelerate learning. I negotiated sales license agreements, developed e-commerce sites that led to early sales, and formed partnerships with local research institutions to further R&D efforts.

At Best Buy, I created and integrated value-maximizing service and private label credit card plans, drove new product launches, led initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction, and communicated policy changes to a network of 100+ stores across Canada. I also conceived and managed execution of in-store financing promotions.

I was excited to work with a dynamic team of entrepreneurs who are committed to changing why and how businesses operate. As part of my internship, I conducted research, interviewed potential stakeholders, and developed business model improvement and corporate expansion plans that would propel our clients’ to their business goals. I also contributed to the creation of initiatives that would help companies deliver social benefits to their communities.

At TD Wealth, I managed portfolio accounting operations for strategic institutional clients, with a focus on synthetic portfolios. I applied my investigative know-how and analytical talents to pinpoint and carry out improvements to portfolio valuation processes. I also gained merit for quickly isolating underlying financial drivers and, thus, providing Portfolio Managers with detailed analysis pertaining to variances in valuations between reports.
