Under my manager Johnathan, I helped customers find the product to suit them best, managed any and all product or transaction discrepancies, mediated tense situations involving difficult customers, and worked with fellow coworkers to ensure the greatest degree of customer satisfaction. Working at CVS also granted me a great deal of perspective and a newfound respect for our tens of thousands of minimum wage workers across the globe. Thanks to this position, I became far better at creating immediate personal relationships, grew my person-to-person skills, and fortified my mindset of treating everyone with immediate respect.

For my articles, I researched various interesting stories around the Waxahachie area, interviewing people of interest, and writing articles with professional language targeted to appeal to various audiences. In addition, my articles were featured on the frontpage and alongside senior contributors with whom I collaborated and read to learn from. From this position, my largest takeaways were dedication to long-term projects, taking and utilizing criticism, tuning my voice to fit an audience, and writing to both inform and entertain.
