FACT works closely with Police, Trading Standards, HM Revenue & Customs, UK Border Agency, National Crime Agency and other agencies in the UK and globally.Main tasks:- Investigations of Internet technology cases such as infringing websites, auction sites and social networks involved with Copyright and Trademarks infringements;- Interacting and high level administration of the company’s infringement detection systems as directed by the Investigations Manager and in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures;- Determining and tracking offenders and undertaking action with an alternative approach to a proportionate solution (ISPs, registrar, registry and payment providers, advertising);- Co-coordinating multiregion investigations, assisting case progress and regular liaison;- Liaison with Law Enforcement, Trading Standards and partner agencies with investigations and prosecutions; - Assist LEA during arrests, interviews and by producing evidential reports and witness statements; - Maintaining accurate records, expediency and diligence in investigative casework;- Producing Internet related intelligence with particular emphasis on current investigations and the Internet Landscape;- Report writing and dissemination to the relevant authorities and member organisations;- First point of contact for specific FACT members; Show less
