ANÁLISE COMPARATIVA DE PROCESSOS LOGÍSTICOS EM LOJAS DE VAREJO EOFICINAS MECÂNICASRoberta de Barros Magalhães Santos (Bolsista PIBIC/CNPq) e Prof. Dr. Orlando Fontes LimaJr. (Orientador), Faculdade de Engenharia Civil, Arquitetura e Urbanismo – FEC, UNICAMPO setor varejista é extremamente dinâmico e movimenta um imenso volume de capital emrelação aos outros setores da economia, que equivale a 6,48% do PIB brasileiro de 2002.Segundo Morgado (1997), o varejo é um espelho fiel do estágio de desenvolvimento dasrelações econômicas. A primeira etapa da pesquisa constituiu em uma ampla revisãobibliográfica, com destaque para o varejo brasileiro e americano, com seus respectivosvolumes de capital e a grande diferença desses valores devido ao seu mercado consumidor.Em seguida, houve o desenvolvimento da metodologia (Yin, 1989) e a aplicação prática, comvisitas técnicas ao centro de distribuição de algumas empresas dos principais formatos devarejo. Os resultados obtidos demonstraram um elevado nível de serviço, com entregas just intime, adaptação de softwares e frota própria e/ou terceirizada, além de forte política dequalidade e atendimento ao cliente. No entanto, ainda foi constatada a implementação dosoftware ERP (Enterprise Resouce Planning) em uma grande rede de farmácia. Duas metasclássicas no ramo da manufatura e que são extremamente empregadas no setor varejista,consiste na garantia do menor preço ao consumidor e baixo custo operacional das empresas.
