Throughout elementary, middle, and high school, mathematics had been my favorite subject, and it was easy for me to understand. When I was a senior in high school, I decided that I wanted to go into a field where I could utilize my love for math, but the idea of being a mathematician did not interest me. It wasn't until my family started fixing my grandpa's old truck that I realized I could utilize my love for both cars and math together by working in the automotive industry through mechanical engineering.Now, I am a junior at California Baptist University, working toward my Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Through my classes I have developed skills in Microsoft software, such as Word and Excel, as well as AutoCAD and Solidworks, and through in-class projects I developed leadership and teamwork skills.

  At Big 5 Sporting Goods, I am trained to be both a sales associate and a cashier. I have now worked here for over a year which has given me great customer service skills. Interactions with customers are a daily thing for me whether it is selling them on a product or checking them out. Due to my proficiency, my managers have me teach new hires our process of customer service, the other jobs I perform as a sales associate, and the technology we use to help do our job.
