His legal work included completing a reverse merger of Modavox's predecessor, SurfNet Media Group, Inc. into a public shell traded under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934; preparing private placement memoranda, Forms S-1, S-8, 8-K, 10-K, 14A and other securities filings; and negotiating, documenting and closing a leveraged buyout of internet content provider.

At InnerSpace, Robert's accomplishments included acquiring Dataview Imaging, which produced diagnostic clinical monitors for use in radiography and mammography interpretation. In addition, Robert negotiated, documented and closed a rollup of outsourced medical billing services companies and completed a self-underwritten initial public offering on the OTCBB Market.

Birman Managed Care was a professional services firm that operated a licensed health plan, management services organization and hospital coding, utilization review and quality assurance business, which provided coding review services to hospitals in 15 states. At Birman, Robert successfully prosecuted an application before the Mississippi Department of Insurance to obtain an HMO license; closed the acquisitions of both a utilization review and case management service firm and a holder of an HMO certificate of authority; helped accomplish a financial turnaround from a loss of $(700,000) on revenues of $4.8 million in 1995 to a profit of $1.2 million on revenues of $8.4 million in 1996 and a profit of approximately $1.5 million on revenues of approximately $13 million in 1997; prepared a private placement memorandum raising $2 million in equity; and completed an initial public offering on the Nasdaq National Market raising $10 million in equity based upon a $60 million post-investment valuation.

From 1986 through 1995, Robert was a Partner in several law firms, including Leonard Street and Deinard, a "Top 100" law firm and Minnesota’s 4th largest firm.
