Agave Partners was a strategic development advisor acting as a catalyst in cross border business development for US, European, and Asian companies. We provided M&A advisory services, business development and corporate financing (through our regulated subsidiary) for leading high-tech companies in their international expansion phase.

Robert served as $1.5 Billion Portfolio Manager and Board Observer or Director in about 50 companies in the high-tech and renewable industries including Altra, Suniva, Cilion, RMI, Turin and Netxen. He also served as Senior Managing Director in charge of International Business Development with a broad mandate covering EMEA.

Managed a potfolio of Silicon Valley high-tech start-ups. Geneva Venture Partners is backed by institutional fund of funds, Silicon Valley executives and family office investors. The two funds GVP and GVPII focused their investments on early-stage software-as-a-service, on demand, enterprise software, telecommunications, IT, wireless, security and internet consumers. The portoflios included investments in Salesforce.com (NYSE:CRM), Zantaz (Autonomy), Callixa (SAP), Encirq, Softcoin, Karna, Tradec, NexGen.

GenevaGroup specialized in providing professional services to the software industry. Services include executive search for CEO, BoDs and key officers. Completed over 100 assignments with such clients as AdForce, Netgravity, Zantaz and Salesforce.com.

Founded Verilog S.A., a Software Engineering company in 1984. Developped the business in 22 countries, establishing it as a global leader in Software Engineering. This company created various lines of products including Logiscope (IBM, Rational Logiscope) and SAO Plus (Esterelle Technologies, SCADE). Verilog products were or are still used for advanced technological projects including the Airbus planes, high-speed train TGV, RATP Metro, AT&T switching systems, US Air Force software development platform, different generations of satellites for European and American companies, Cdot switching systems in India.

Pursued a technology transfer role, in the framework of the Software Engineering Observatory that he created in the framework of the French Ministry of Industry’s Information Technology development agency (ADI). Made in this context and during nine years (Including previous role at INRIA) his first steps in corporate venture, working at the alignment between corporate strategies and innovations.

Joined the French Institute for Research in Information Technologies (INRIA) and created in 1975 with two partners Directors of Research in the Research lab LAAS in Toulouse a technology transfer project on dependable computing named SURF for financing cooperation between research laboratories and the industry. Was the managing Director in charge of the software division. Also served as visiting professor for the department of Computer Science at Nanyang University in Singapore.
