My Guiding Principle has always revolved around my Mission Statement which is:My purpose is to use my passion as a problem solver to support and coach others to help them use their talents to work together to serve each other.My primary focus is my volunteer work where I help job seekers find their way back to successful employment by teaching them the tools and techniques I learned in my six unplanned job transitions. In addition, helping them through the challenges of an ever-changing employment world and all it brings adds an extra layer of complexity to their journey. I derive great satisfaction from teaching those in career transition the job seeking tools needed to navigate this continuously changing landscape.As "The Compassionate Career Coach" I work with a number of groups and job seekers within those groups to navigate what is for some a hard journey of self-discovery. I serve on their Board of Directors, help facilitate a sub-group that plans workshops that educate job seekers on how to navigate the process, and frequently lead those workshops. I often speak to groups about how to network and/or use the latest techniques that will help them work toward successful employment. In addition I volunteer my time to do one-on-one coaching with those having a hard time making the transition back to work.
