About Robert Barclay

After a career in the corporate world, I am blessed to be able to follow my passions. Back in 2018, deciding to live a life enjoying the outdoors, with a smaller footprint, my partner and I designed and built a 300sf ft home to travel the country. It became clear that what we created was something special that many others also wanted. Early in 2022, we decided to start building Custom Travel Homes - a new RV category that is Tiny Home inspired but purpose built for travel on the road. After vetting suppliers and builders across the country, we officially launched BarclayRV in early 2024. Designed for hurricanes and earthquakes, these luxury custom travel homes bring living on the road to a whole new level. Being able to help people live their dream, enjoy life, and make the most of every day, is truly amazing.As my children grew up, I was able to spend a lot of time coaching them in various sports. Perhaps the most rewarding was the time we spent training and competing in alpine skiing. For the winter of 2022-23, I am once again able to share that passion with others as I am part of the Deer Valley Resort Ski School. It never gets old seeing the smile on a small child, teenager, young or fully grown adult, as they accomplish a new skill, complete a difficult drill, or conquer a new slope. What a great feeling.
