Provide the WIKISPEED network with facts and information relating to current developments in automotive technology and culture. Since some WIKISPEED team members have little knowledge or experience with the intricate details of automobiles, I function as their conduit to that substantial body of knowledge. My own "Car Culture" interests, projects, public activities, and real experience in numerous competitive prototype vehicle developments, combined with my extensive scientific and teaching background is effective in illuminating concepts and details of this fascinating topic with my team members and colleagues. Each week, as interesting technical discussions has been posted to the network, I research the relevant issues to add detail and accuracy to the conversation. Topics have included principles of aerodynamics, engine design and thermodynamics, manufacturer's specifications, historical facts and figures, characteristics of various types of suspension systems, the culture of the automobile past and present, and many others. What isn't known immediately can be found through careful research, then reduced to what is relevant and interesting to the people who use the information.

Building the third extant prototype WIKISPEED SGT01 100-mpg sports-car chassis in my shop. One can not possibly overstate the complexity of creating a fully federalized high-efficiency performance car. Progress must be research-driven, and so by leveraging the WIKISPEED network and the giant body of knowledge and talent it represents, problems are solved rapidly. We expect a roadable, manufacturer-plated car by next summer.

Current projects include the SGT01, a safe, reliable, and exciting 2+2 passenger car capable of both high overall performance and exceptional thermal efficiency, anticipating over 100+ miles per gallon combined NHTSA cycle. Modular powertrain format permits rapid parallel development and problem-solving by our globally distributed manufacturing network, production of saleable vehicle anticipated in 2012.

I am a frequent public speaker for WIKISPEED and have presented recently at the Microsoft (ALM Summit), Future of Flight Museum, Seattle Electric Vehicle Association, Bellevue College, the Art Institute of Seattle. Our objective is rapidly expanding the educational network for WIKISPEED. Careful research has led my drive to involve talented partners in this globalizing project to create an open-source prototype manufacturing organization. Recent new partners include: Washington State Chamber of Commerce, Michigan Economic Development Corporation, Washington Aerospace Training and Research Center, Seattle Electric Vehicle Association, South Seattle Community College, Energy Transitions Education, Puget Sound Energy, Snohomish County PUD, Edmonds Community College, Western Washington University, Marysville Arts and Tech Center, Nathan Hale High School, and many others. Also recently completed the installation of a large solar thermal collector on a residence on Mercer Island which provides hot domestic water and heat for the home, and am looking forward to the next project. My partner, Matt Thiem and I are working with local power companies such as Puget Sound Energy and Snohomish County PUD as well as local electrical contractor Kirby Electrical to coordinate energy-efficient lighting upgrades for local businesses. By taking advantage of the current rebate structure and carefully controlling our costs we can bring significant lighting upgrades and power savings to your company at ridiculously low costs (50-100% discounts). Some of these rebates are going away eventually so we're trying to get the word out to business owners now. Our future efforts will likely focus on solar thermal collectors.

Familiarized with entire installation, maintenance, and repair process. Related skills include working with low- and high-voltage wiring, thermostat and electronic controls installation an d adjustment for complicated systems. Replaced blower motors, fan drive components, fans, contactors and other components of residential and light commercial heating and air conditioning systems from 2 to 25 tons capacity. Extensive onsite experience working efficiently on crowded jobsites. Can safely position a 40 foot scissor-lift, make nuanced adjustments in a complex air balance, facilitate placement of large commercial package a/c units on difficult-to-access rooftops, and perform all ducting installation. Have assisted in major repair projects such as compressor replacement and troubleshooting BAS computerized electromechanical control systems. Valid Electrical Trainee card w/ over 1000 hours. Personal tool list includes all basic service, diagnosis, maintenance, and installation tools such as refrigerant gauges, multi-meter, power and hand tools, safety gear, and ladders.

Renovation of mid-century homes, apartments, and condominiums. Projects include complete interior and exterior refinishing, appliance installation, electrical repair and upgrade, heating and ventilation system repair and renovation.

Hired to take on the responsibilities of existing Manager/Owner. In addition to running a large, open-range dog park with 6-8 employees on site and typically over 75 dogs, it was my responsibility to repair and upgrade the entire 5+ acre facility. This work included installation of automatic gate and security systems, a complete business office renovation, bulldozing and large-scale landscaping projects, secure fence erection, hvac, plumbing and electrical improvements, and much more. In well under one year, the entire facility was completely transformed. In fact, shortly after the work was completed, the owner recieved a generous offer for the business and it was successfully sold for a substantial profit.

In addition to the development of effective curriculum and a classroom environment where students were happy and successful, as Science Department Lead was also responsible to create a partnership between teachers, students, and the community. Expanded the reach and success of the Energy Program, including writing and receiving grants from the Snohomish County PUD and the PTSA as a part of a strategy of bringing vocationally relevant hands-on activities to schools. Worked closely with new staff and senior administration as Science Department Lead, substantially improving scores on student performance evaluations. Outstanding personal recommendations.
