Since some WIKISPEED team members have little knowledge or experience with the intricate details of automobiles, I function as their conduit to that substantial body of knowledge. My own "Car Culture" interests, projects, public activities, and real experience in numerous competitive prototype vehicle developments, combined with my extensive scientific and teaching background is effective in illuminating concepts and details of this fascinating topic with my team members and colleagues. Each week, as interesting technical discussions has been posted to the network, I research the relevant issues to add detail and accuracy to the conversation. Topics have included principles of aerodynamics, engine design and thermodynamics, manufacturer's specifications, historical facts and figures, characteristics of various types of suspension systems, the culture of the automobile past and present, and many others. What isn't known immediately can be found through careful research, then reduced to what is relevant and interesting to the people who use the information.

Building the third extant prototype WIKISPEED SGT01 100-mpg sports-car chassis in my shop. I am a frequent public speaker for WIKISPEED and have presented recently at the Microsoft (ALM Summit), Future of Flight Museum, Seattle Electric Vehicle Association, Bellevue College, the Art Institute of Seattle. Our objective is rapidly expanding the educational network for WIKISPEED. Careful research has led my drive to involve talented partners in this globalizing project to create an open-source prototype manufacturing organization. Hired to take on the responsibilities of existing Manager/Owner. In addition to running a large, open-range dog park with 6-8 employees on site and typically over 75 dogs, it was my responsibility to repair and upgrade the entire 5+ acre facility. This work included installation of automatic gate and security systems, a complete business office renovation, bulldozing and large-scale landscaping projects, secure fence erection, hvac, plumbing and electrical improvements, and much more. In well under one year, the entire facility was completely transformed. In fact, shortly after the work was completed, the owner recieved a generous offer for the business and it was successfully sold for a substantial profit.

In addition to the development of effective curriculum and a classroom environment where students were happy and successful, as Science Department Lead was also responsible to create a partnership between teachers, students, and the community. Expanded the reach and success of the Energy Program, including writing and receiving grants from the Snohomish County PUD and the PTSA as a part of a strategy of bringing vocationally relevant hands-on activities to schools.
