As a development manager in our web group I assist in designing loosely coupled, testable software and guiding process and people to succeed in the delivery of loosely coupled, testable software. I have lead our transition to a more agile oriented process flow, and have altered our development methodology to stress quality through decoupling and unit testing, and predictability through better work breakdown and feature definition.I put in place the tracking of throughput metrics to allow us to have insight into our speed in delivery of features, as well as our quality. Extensive exposure to Test Driven development, Agile Programming methodology as well as Object Oriented methodologies and design patterns:Major Accomplishments for Intelliprice application:• Created automated regression analysis to offer predictive best rates for a particular product in a particular state. This functionality replaced a very time consuming step previously done by pricing analysts.• Componentized long running processes into asynchronously available services using multi-threading.• Automated creation of data analysis for comparing pricing against competitors, This functionality replaced a very time consuming step previously done by pricing analysts.• Increased speed of Intelliprice application by a factor of 5.• Implemented large regression unit test facility to reduce application error rate.• Implemented automated error reporting so all user errors would be automatically reported.• Created C# based process to acquire mainframe data, and transform data into a state that could then be analyzed by Intelliprice application. This allowed pricing analysis to be done based on data quoted to potential customers as well data from policies sold.
