As a seasoned sports industry professional, my experience spans the intersection of sports business, technology, and governance, encompassing both the entertainment and performance aspects. My professional journey began in the early 2000s and so far has led me to live in five countries and work with teams and companies worldwide, enriching my expertise in navigating the multifaceted cultures of the global sports landscape. Core focus: - commercial development - strategic planning - partnership building 💼 As a commercial representative, I have extensive experience building relationships at the C-suite level with clients in various European and international markets, with both domestic and global outlooks. In my sales roles, I have closed audio-visual and media rights deals across a wide range of sportsbiz partners (such as broadcasters, OTT streaming providers, betting/gaming companies) and sports organisations (i.e. clubs, leagues, and federations). On the strategic level, I have been involved in M&A processes, negotiations, and assessments at various levels, as well as business analysis and identifying and pursuing 'Column B' commercial opportunities. 🎓 Relationships with sports stakeholders and experience in this space also fuel my interest in better understanding sports' future, particularly in governance and legal frameworks. I am interested in pursuing those topics and exploring how sport is run and its future through my roles as a PhD candidate at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra’s Department of Law, an academic lecturer, and a consultant/advisor. 🎥 Having started my career in sports journalism in the early 2000s and progressed through various print and digital publications (including covering several high-profile events, such as the UEFA Champions League Finals, as well as the Polish top-flight Ekstraklasa's TV coverage in the UK), I remain active on social media platforms, occasionally contribute expert commentary, and I'm open to media and advisory opportunities.
