I began working at 17 while volunteering with a family friend in their saltwater aquarium store, during my 2 years volunteering I was able to experience many of the challenges small business owners face while trying to build a business. I got hands on experience with sales, customer service, dealing with complex orders, inventory management, communicating with vendors and clients, and I was able to see the amount of time, sweat, and effort running a business requires. Upon landing my first job with Lowe's I took the lessons I learned from that small aquarium shop and applied them to my work within the Lowe's organization, focusing on offering superior customer service and maintaining a strong work ethic. I have worked hard to position myself as a problem solver, I enjoy taking on new and challenging tasks and coming up with unique ways to solve day to day problems I am faced with. My employment with Lowe's gave me the ability to enroll at the University of Florida in pursuit of a BA degree in business administration. My 2 years at the University of Florida challenged me in ways I had never imagined and instilled in me a new level of discipline and self motivation.Currently I am seeking to find a position that will continue to challenge me, forcing me to adapt and overcome unique obstacles, so that I can continue to grow.
