I began my insurance career a lifetime ago as a personal insurance agent, but the middle of that lifetime was carved out with my career as a professional software engineer, mathematician, data and information architect specializing in geospatial data, and systems architect. As I completed major engineering projects as a researcher and professional staff at Columbia University, I made the unexpected transition back into the insurance industry. I fell in love with the insurance industry again, and immersed myself in the task of reshaping an already very successful brokerage into an organization that is able to leverage information, deliver services, and demonstrate exceptional technical expertise, to the greatest benefit of its clients.
