Led the School Leadership department in the selection, supervision and evaluation of the 227 K-12 principals in Dallas public schools. Planned and directed professional development for site administrators, principal supervisors, and aspiring administrators.

Serve 120,000+ students in 147 K-12 schools along the 110 Freeway Corridor from South Los Angeles to the Port of LA, as well as schools in the cities of Bell, Carson, Cudahy, Gardena, Huntington Park, Lomita, Maywood, and South Gate.

Lead a team of Specialsits and Advisors in the oversight of over 60 independent charter schools including those operated by Green Dot, Aspire, KIPP, and Magnolia Schools. Supervise the team in the preparation of new and renewal charter recommendations for the board of education. Plan and provide professional development for internal audiences as well as charter petitioners and operators.

Carried out oversight visits of independent charter schools and affiliated charter schools. Supervised Advisors in the preparation of new and renewal charter recommendations for the board of education. Assisted in processing Proposition 39 facilities requests.

Led the district's middle and comprehesive high schools to a double digit net gain in API. Supervised and evaluated middle and high school principals as well as Directors of Assessment, Child Welfare and Attendance, State and Federal Programs, and Coordinator of English Language Development. Prepared school district and board policies in the areas of student discipline, attendance, and curriculum.

Led the school to a 70 point gain over three years with a 98 point gain for the Socioeconomically Disadvantaged subgroup and a 103 point gain for the Hispanic subgroup. Supervised the work of over 125 certificated and classified staff members serving over 2400 students. Served on 2002-2003 certificated contract negotiations team for the district. Represented secondary schools in Superintendent's cabinet as Lead Principal.

Led continuation high school teachers to convert from a supervised independent study program to a rigorous, standards-based program including direct instruction. Supervised and evaluated Director of Cal-SAFE preschool program.

Built and managed the master schedule. Supervised counseling services. Coordinated campus safety personnel and acted as police liason.

Produced the first group of Gilroy students to take and pass the Advanced Placement Exam in U.S. History. Taught World History, Honors U.S. History, SDIAE Government, and co-creator of interdisciplinary program including 3 disciplines. Managed school-wide staff development under the school's AB 1274 Restructuring Grant.
