Manage the ITPM mission to transition and adopt more agile processes (SAFe) across iT, and change how iT responds to business priorities. Manage 3 separate, diverse, development departments of software engineers (17 direct reports): DevOps team, Software Development Scrum team, and a R&D engineering team. In maturing the Agile process of these teams, I created more consistency in the quality of the solutions delivered, and increased the visibility and engagement to our internal customers, as well as increased the team’s (and team members) visibility within our customer base. Specifically in Devops, by adapting and wrapping some of the Agile ceremonies to accommodate the DevOps workflow around the Kanban boards, we were able to improve transparency and performance of the inflight work-products within our team and across our customer base. And we were able to measure and decrease time within our process (cycle-time), showing continual improvement in our overall throughput.

At AMD I manage several Quality Assurance teams, as many as 15 test engineers, through the development and execution of the SDLC cycles. These internal SaaS solutions are used to size, track and trend cost of Engineering product portfolios, including funding and resources. These solutions include:• ERM (Enterprise Resource Management) with CA’s Clarity product• PBA (Portfolio Business Accounting), a custom tool built on Java, and an SQL Server EDW Cube• PLM (Project Lifecycle Management) with Oracle’s Agile product• BPC (Business Planning and Consolidation – focused on financial management), custom development on Java and SQL Server EDW Cube and SAP.My responsibility includes; establishing the Quality Assurance strategy, resource and tool implementation, and metrics used to validate and measure the development and testing of these COTS and custom software solutions. The Software Quality Assurance test cycle is managed in TFS, along with requirements, source control, bugs, etc. QA has built automation in TFS (under MS Test Manager) from the manual test cases defined in MTM. QA traces test cases to requirements to show 100% compliance. Presently I am sub-contracting at Conformative Systems designing test procedure to ensure the reliability of their embedded Linux operating systems. In addition, I am designing and will build an automated build-verification test for this embedded operating system. My specific responsibilities are to:. Develop verification tests proceudres for the operating system and the internally developed device drivers.. Automated as many of these test procedures as possible, using bash and LTP.. TESTCo provides locally managed offshore testing services. As an account manager I handle all of the day-to-day testing activities of upto four concurrent projects.
