Additional responsibilities include management of incoming remote feeds during broadcasts including ENG crews in the field, remote studio around the world and Skype interviews. As part of my regular duties, I have to integrate with my counterparts in other Al Jazeera facilities in Doha and London to troubleshoot interface issues between the facilities.

MANAGER, BROADCAST ENGINEERING/IT – Provide day to day support for a news broadcast production facility of Media Composer and Newscutter workstations attached to a fully clustered Avid Interplay network, including iNews, Capture and Command services, interfacing with both an ISIS 7000 and ISIS 5000 storage environment as well as content delivery systems from Signiant and Vantage. Responsibilities include the system management of assets, as well as supervising IT operations on both the Broadcast and Corporate networks within the facility.
