Secured funding, developed teams, and executed research protocols to test novel Nitric Oxide drugs for infected wound healing. Deployed to Afghanistan (OEF) with the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force as Chief Army Biochemist on an Army Vice Chief-of-Staff initiated research mission as part of a >$26MM effort to diagnose battlefield concussion. Evaluated a diagnostic blood test for mTBI (Banyan Biomarkers), and a handheld Quantitative Electro-Encephalography FDA Class II medical device (BrainScope). CHIEF, PHYSIOLOGY AND IMMUNOLOGY BRANCHAt the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Chemical Defense, led a group 40+ scientific staff including 15 Ph.D. managers developing medical countermeasures for Chemical Warfare Agent (CWA) and classified Non-Traditional Agent (NTA) exposure.
