@ Fife Council I work as part of a team dedicated to building both new build & major extensions of schools. Currently on site are two 1600 pupil plus high schools with a primary school in the near future.I have 14y'rs experience working in the construction industry as a Quantity Surveyor, Loss adjuster, & mostly as an Architectural Tech.Drawings for Domestic / Commercial / Education & Industrial sectors, new build as well as refurburbishment/extension are all undertaken. During the recent construction downturn I have worked part time as an Autocad Technician for an established Structural engineering firm in Fife as well as taken on numerous projects as a freelance technician. I hope to provide a fast professional and more personal experience of the building design process.COMMUNICATION / PRESENTATION: Dealing directly with people on a one to one basis or in groups. Disseminating technical information in order to inform, guide and influence proposals.READING COMPREHENSION: Understanding complex information, facts, ideas or instructions which are expressed in written English. Applying clients design standards, British / European standards and building regulations to proposals.NEGOTIATING: Holding discussions in order to reach a position of mutual satisfaction / agreement. Working with building control officers in the implementation of the building standards.LOGICAL THINKING: Tackling problems and developing ideas in a systematic, rational manner. Basing conclusions of design requirements regards planning, building control, hfvn & other individual client requirements.PERSONAL ORGANISATION: Keeping good records of tasks and filing of information. Collating information on British standards / manufacturers brochures & individual project based tasks. INTERESTS: I am an avid follower of the F1 motor racing season. I enjoy watching football with friends and my family life.
