Rob Stewart is a Certified Value Specialist and Project Management Professional who has been practicing Value Engineering / Value Analysis / Value Management for over 30 years. During this time, he has led over 500 value studies for clients in both the private and public sectors on a wide range of products, services and facilities from forklifts to multi-billion dollar transportation projects. He has taught courses and lectured on Value Methodology at Portland State University, the University of California, Berkeley, and Chung-Ang University, Seoul Korea. He has received numerous awards from AASHTO, FHWA and Caltrans for his work in transportation over the past 20 years. In 2005, Mr. Stewart published the text, “Fundamentals of Value Methodology.” In 2006, this text was translated into Korean and Chinese. Mr. Stewart has also pioneered an accompanying e-learning version of this course. In 2008, Mr. Stewart was nominated to serve on the Board of Directors for the Miles Value Foundation, a prestigious non-profit organization dedicated to expanding the discipline of Value Methodology in higher education. In 2009, he was inducted into the SAVE International College of Fellows, which is the highest form of professional recognition in the field of Value Methodology.In 2010 his second book, "Value Optimization for Project and Performance Management," was published by John Wiley & Sons, Hoboken. His third book, “Risk Management for Design and Construction,” was published in June 2011 by R.S. Means. This book was co-authored with Dr. Ovidiu Cretu and Terry Berends and provides guidance on risk management and quantitative modeling for projects.In 2016, the SAVE International "Function Analysis Guide" was published.
