Malton Foods Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Zwanenberg Food Group UK (ZFG UK), and is a manufacturer of ambient foods, operating across both the foodservice and retail markets. In addition to the established channels of distribution, Malton Foods also operates as a co-packer, offering our industry leading expertise to several well known manufacturers and brands. Malton Foods is a multi format food manufacturer specialising in long life rigid and flexible packaging formats across ready meals, sauces, snacks and sides. I have detailed below a range of products in our current retail portfolio. These examples span several categories including sports nutrition, instant hot snacks and food to go. In addition I have worked across the ZFG group businesses supporting the sales teams with category insight, brand development and marketing activities, encompassing Taste Original and Rea Valley Speciality Foods.Responsibilities:Responsible for all marketing strategy, budget and communications. Working across Sales, QA, NPD and Finance to ensure all business objectives are met.Responsible for brand development across lifestyle brands in outdoor pursuits and the sports nutrition categories in addition to convenience ready meals, snack and sides for grocery retail and foodservice channels.Management of external agencies including research (qual & quant), design, web and PR ensuring all activity is within budget and in line with overall marketing plan. Preparation and presentations and market insight and strategy to both internal and external customers.Working in partnership with external supply chain, service providers on branded portfolio and customer own label packaging solutions with a view to continually improving suitability, performance in line with overarching business objectives.Managing the Marketing / Customer Services team.

New Product Development, Brand development, Packaging development and Promotional planning and implementation.Present and sell in new brands and concepts to retail customer base. Maintaining packaging purchasing responsibility for £1.2m portfolio from previous role.

Managing a £1.2 million purchasing budget across flexible and rigid packaging, including labels, flexible film, rigid plastics, reel fed laminates. Cross category responsibility for fresh and extended life chilled formats.Ensured security of supply across all sites to agreed budget targets, whilst monitoring that all packaging specifications were maintained, updated as required and met by the supplier base.Worked in association with suppliers on new formats and finishes ensuring that the business is at the forefront of advancements in packaging technology. Implement new formats smoothly as and when required ensuring that there was minimum impact on the business and that cost savings where achieved and any impact to the TCO was positive.
