I write, record and perform music for families. Uncle Rock shows are either solo or with my band the Playthings, and they are always interactive, engaging, and upbeat. Uncle Rock began as a persona that evolved from my work as a teacher's assistant at a preschool, and has grown into my livelihood. I've never felt more fulfilled as a performer or a person. Everyone - not just kids, but in particular kids - needs to find a genuine, real-time means of connecting to others, of feeling community, and I've found music gives them this. It also gives them an inner vista where their imaginations can soar. I play rock and roll clubs, theaters, libraries, schools, farmers markets, festivals, almost anywhere.
