My name is Robert Cajes, a rising fourth-year pre-medical student at the University of Virginia, studying Cognitive Science with a Neuroscience concentration. I am particularly interested in studying the sociological aspects of medicine, including the treatment and accessibility that communities from varying backgrounds have to medicine. I challenge to immerse myself in these different life experiences and cultures, through my volunteering and leadership positions, to gain a further understanding and appreciation for how medicine can effectively be applied to those in need.
