Bob Capshaw has been with Corsearch since its inception in 1984 as one of the founding partners. Bob went from selling print-based trademark services – copying, cropping, and pasting pages into reports for evidence for his practitioner clients – for a business with a staff of 4 to Vice President of National Account Sales for a global business with over 200 employees in 16 locations worldwide. Bob is a genuine legend in the international trademark community, known for building lifelong relationships with the practitioners he served and befriended on the way. Known for the thousands of handwritten letters he sends each year to the clients he loves, Bob preaches that relationships are built on trust: “You’re only as good as your last search.” Every client knows that he or she can reach out to Bob to ensure they get the care they need and, very often, more than a few cheers for his beloved St. Louis Cardinals.A graduate of University of Missouri, where he earned both his BA and a Masters in Education, Bob taught History in junior high school before becoming a high school principal – all before going corporate. He then worked on Wall Street for five years before entering the trademark business.Most of Bob's off-time is spent at home in Croton-on-Hudson, NY with his wife Claudia and his children Ethan, Dylan, and Emma. His daughter Jessica lives with her husband Christopher and three (soon to be four) children in Los Angeles. Although he enjoys basketball and horseback riding in his spare time now, Bob's future goal is to be a full-time cowboy.
