My business career has been heavily anchored in Executive Search and Outplacement. In search, I had the opportunity to work for two fore runners in the recruitment field, Jim Kittleman and John H. Johnson, Jr.Jim was a Cornell graduate and a former architect. John was an NFL star who entered the recruiting business when his knees could no longer take the rigors of professional football. Both Jim and John taught me well planned and tireless networking efforts will always yield positive results. Both were actively involved in professional organizations which caught their interests. Both gave their time and commitment to worthy charitable and civic organizations. I learned quickly who you know and who gets to know about you are far more important than what you know. And, the best way to get is to give. In outplacement, I had the good fortune to work for a leading pioneer, Bill Siderius. He was a master of asking the right questions and listening to what was said and to what was not said. Bill taught me the importance of customer service and the need to continually communicate with clients and candidates. "Always give quick feedback, especially when the news isn't favorable....Build trust and people will want to work with you,"In my business career, I've never met anybody who could match Bill in intellect or business acumen...John and Jim were the champions of marketing/networking expertise.Working under their leaderships enabled me to author and present career management seminars throughout the United States and Canada; to be a frequent contributor to the Wall Street Journal Business News Weekly; and, to teach for 15 years in a number of leading MBA Schools.Reflecting on my mentors reminds me of what Andy Rooney once said: "The best classroom in the world is at the feet of well experienced individuals." How true...how true.Education: MBA Industrial Relations, BS Psychology both from Loyola University, Chicago, IL.Specialties: Executive Search | Career Coaching | Authoring and Presenting Management Training Seminars | Business Communications
