Having helped to establish a local “session” of this Columbia, SC based housing relief/youth development organization in Horry and Georgetown counties in 2004, I returned to a leadership position in 2013. As the Coastal Team Leader, I sought to expand Home Works vision and reach through networking, recruitment, training, planning, fund raising, vision-casting and, in general, by inspiring youth (and adults) to put love into action by serving their neighbor in need. In the past 12 years, we have involved dozens of churches, schools and civic groups, and hundreds of volunteers in repairing over 65 homes in Horry and Georgetown Counties.
