For my professional career I have been helping individuals, teams and organisations find a better way to work. This has spanned positions in primary manufacturing that include Aerospace, logistics and general manufacturing companies. This wasn't always my planned career path, as I didn't spend my youth wanting to be a continuous improvement leader; I wanted to be a pilot. When this wasn’t possible the next logical step was to start career in aerospace. It was in these early years where I learnt the importance of observing, collecting evidence and understanding how people interact with each other from all walks of life. Then my boss placed me on a project team to learn about a new concept called Lean Manufacturing. I started gaining experience in Lean programs with a project team and at times under the keen eye of a Japanese sensei. Over these years of applying the basic principles of Lean manufacturing my role as a Lean specialist began. I consider myself a teacher/student first, and that is, by nature a change agent. I have spent my career teaching people how to eliminate waste, improve flow and focus on reducing variation. I'm not a devotee of Lean or Six Sigma rather I am committed to methodologies that drive continuous improvement in discovering the next step forward. I am a believer in enabling individuals and teams to accelerate their progress in problem-solving and improve their work. I do this because when we understand our problems, create learning’s from them and take action to improve them, everybody wins customers, employees, managers, and stakeholders.
