Successfully supported outlying FOBs by providing professional O&M support for satellite based commercial (DSN) communications system.

KICC Project - Iraq. The specific portion of this overall project that I worked on was on Camp Victory, Iraq. I was asked to join the team in January, after the majority of the installation work had been accomplished. Because of existing system issues, I was asked to manage the project. I was able to teach an incoming team how to troubleshoot the existing installation, and successfully complete the project with ALL fiber spans meeting contract specifications. This project involved not only extensive fiber troubleshooting, but the field (OSP) splicing and connectorization of hundreds of fibers throughout the base.

Coordinated all Outside Plant work with the 54th Signal Battalion. Managed work requests to meet, and exceed expectations.

Assisted power engineering team in the design and deployment of SCADA systems.

Contracted to provide training to Taiwan contractors in support of the installation of a new fiber optic network serving all Taiwan military services. After initial work, my position was expanded to the point where I was directly responsible for contractor selection, military and contractor fiber training (from course development thru presentation), oversight of the installation 1100 km of fiber cable to include placement, splicing, and testing/documentation. Successfully completed the project on time with NO re-work required in any fiber span.
