The work WellAware Care contributes to our senior communities provides me with the most rewarding experiences I have had the pleasure of being a part of in my career.

Drove high level plan to integrate Dell Platform QA process into EMC qualifications. The objective was to engage quickly and cover as much ground as soon as possible. I approached this in a two step process. The first was to focus on new product lines. The second was to pull in legacy products when/where feasible. Team was comprised of 1 manager, 2 team leads, 25 QA Engineers and 4 contract QA Engineers.• Incorporated atypical Dell Platform QA validation process, providing coverage where possible across the 16 Dell/EMC storage business units.• Redefined strategy in support of future business model reducing 16 Dell/EMC business units down to 3. Devised a plan to meet executive leadership challenge of processing new products domestically and legacy products in low cost regions.• Organized and drove interdepartmental meetings with EMC development teams to strategize where they could realize the greatest impacts and improve quality by leveraging the Platform Quality Assurance team.

Directed a team of 1 manager, 2 team leads, 13 QA Engineers and 4 contract QA Engineers whose main objective was validating the interaction of the software stack lower layers against their hardware components on all Dell/Compellent mid-range iSCSI and FC storage products. Also provided the role of Strategist and Architect.• Test execution centered on the extraction/insertion of system components, system power cycling, fault injection and thermal testing.• Met the executive leadership’s challenge to take quality to a higher level while supporting the current and legacy products.• Under new management, asked to assume duties of Platform Quality Assurance validation and apply it across multiple business units, including regression testing for all legacy products.• At the time of the acquisition, Compellent had experienced field failures in the Platform area. Data from firmware releases post the Platform Quality Assurance team’s involvement indicated those failure modes were eliminated. Field feedback showed a significant increase in customer confidence in the product, a higher customer satisfaction rating and a better overall customer experience.• Realized huge cost savings by cutting down on code churn and allowing the logistics repair team to reduce the number of spares needed on hand.

Provided direction to a staff of 3 managers, 4 team leads, 45 QA engineers and 25 contract QA Engineers. Responsible for validating all EqualLogic iSCSI storage array products. Objective: Drive changes to the QA organization as the EqualLogic transitioned from a storage startup to an enterprise leader.• Restructured the flat QA organization into distinct teams; System Integration test, Platform test, Drive Qualification and Host Integrated Tools. Installed management in each area with the objective to focus qualifications in their specific area.• Redefined/enhanced test process into 3 test phases: Validation, Verification and Soak. Instituted exception request process allowing late features to be added to the release.• Instituted a “shift left” segment, in the qualification process, for areas of release that needed to be prioritized.• Qualifications executed in bare metal, virtual and hyper converged environments.• Team well versed in Microsoft, Linux and VMware operating systems.• Hosted monthly "all hands” series with entire organization to promote transparency and communication of overarching plans.• Recognized for improving employee morale by instituting more formal recognition programs, hosting team outings, instituting skip level meetings and leading with an open-door policy.• Asked to step in as interim Director of QA during a transition.
