Provided direction to a staff of 3 managers, 4 team leads, 45 QA engineers and 25 contract QA Engineers. Responsible for validating all EqualLogic iSCSI storage array products. Objective: Drive changes to the QA organization as the EqualLogic transitioned from a storage startup to an enterprise leader.• Restructured the flat QA organization into distinct teams; System Integration test, Platform test, Drive Qualification and Host Integrated Tools. Installed management in each area with the objective to focus qualifications in their specific area.• Redefined/enhanced test process into 3 test phases: Validation, Verification and Soak. Instituted exception request process allowing late features to be added to the release.• Instituted a “shift left” segment, in the qualification process, for areas of release that needed to be prioritized.• Qualifications executed in bare metal, virtual and hyper converged environments.• Team well versed in Microsoft, Linux and VMware operating systems.• Hosted monthly "all hands” series with entire organization to promote transparency and communication of overarching plans.• Recognized for improving employee morale by instituting more formal recognition programs, hosting team outings, instituting skip level meetings and leading with an open-door policy.• Asked to step in as interim Director of QA during a transition.
