Think Fungi launched to provide fungi related courses and events spanning the gamut, from identification to cultivation, mycology, and medicinal. Think Fungi also hosts a community for mycophiles which is global in nature, but includes break-out groups for individual mycological clubs. Launching in 2022, an online store of curated mushroom-related goods from groceries to cultivation kits, décor and fashion.

My daily duties: Negotiating commercial terms ranging from pricing to payment terms to liability clauses on behalf of affiliates across Europe and Africa for projects up to $20million. Providing procurement expertise and execution to project managers on site for various acquisitions, including new installations, existing renovations and major capital projects. Sourcing contractors and suppliers from emerging markets, and utilizing commercial tools such as tenders and auctions. Working alongside engineers and contractors to ensure specifications are complete and well understood throughout the acquisition process. The largest restaurant on Small Town Square, the restaurant boasted a front terrace, a beer garden, a dining room and a separate music bar. Open for 19hours a day, and handling many large corporate reservations, as well as romantic couple reservations, and families.My sales and marketing responsibilities included the rebranding of the restaurant to increase customers while lowering costs by focusing more on seasonal and local products and preferences, and offering a unique atmosphere. My duties were to continuously develop and execute new goals and handle all staffing requirements from hiring and scheduling, to lay-offs when required. I was responsible for short- and long-term financial planning of the business, and explaining decisions made to the owners. Highlight: Restructuring which halved the debt owed by the restaurant.

The OSCE charter on preventing and combating terrorism meets the commitment to international organizations as set out by the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1373. My responsibilities included the analysis of OSCE's budgeting data and interests, identifying opportunities for cost savings through efficiencies, improved procurement strategies, outsourcing to contractors and various other strategies. My efforts contributed to the development of a new budget with a 2% reduction. I analyzed and reported on international discourse and affairs and provided recommendations to the Department of Foreign Affairs. Highlight: $3 million in budget savings.

Analyzed business development case responses, and provided feedback on ways to improve business plans and analytical thinking. Took initiative in marketing the entrepreneurship program by writing articles for the newspaper, attending related events, and working closely with 'Advancing Canadian Entrepreneurship' (ACE) and the 'Dobson-Lagasse Entrepreneurship Center'. Highlight: My written articles helped convince the university board to increase funding to the entrepreneurial program.
