Nepal

• Part of an international charity effort focused on improving livelihoods in a remote village. Worked both individually and in a team and completed a large construction project under challenging and unfamiliar circumstances.• Appointed leader of the Raleigh training committee. Responsible for planning and delivery of 12 training sessions, including specialist training on high value/off season vegetable production. Conducted market research in order to identify the most profitable crops to produce.• Negotiated additional timeslots with other committee’s and prioritized high quality training over quantity to meet the specific needs of the village. Our targets were achieved a week before the deadline.• Identified opportunities for Nepali entrepreneurs to increase their income and diversify the livelihoods of their communities. Used local knowledge, Microsoft Excel, and SWOT analyses to create 28 business plans and assist the entrepreneurs in executing these business plans.
