About Robert Cross

I am looking for a challenging role which will not only require me to draw from my experiences and qualifications but also constantly push me toward greater achievement and the satisfaction that comes from a difficult job done well.Although highly proficient at both, I prefer design work to support and maintenance work as it is the opportunity to get things right from day one and is so much better than fixing things later, however, I am highly task orientated and happy to get ‘stuck in’ to whatever needs to be done to meet objectives. I feel that it is important to study theory as well as gaining hands on experience and have accumulated a large number of vendor certifications over the last 10 years, I enjoy work with new technologies as well as established ones and have an ability to see through the ‘clutter’ and get to the heart of technical issues and frequently devise innovative and ‘out of the box’ solutions for complex problems. It is this type of work that creates the most job satisfaction for me and has yielded the greatest benefits for my employers.Specialties: Microsoft Servers and Active Directory Microsoft Desktop (Domain) ClientsBackup and Storage SystemsEmail Messaging Systems Cisco Routing & SwitchingCisco VoIP Network Design and SecurityFirewall Design and ConfigurationServer Patch and Anti-virus DeploymentDisaster Recovery and Business ContinuityMicrosoft SQL and other Application ServersVMware Virtualization
