Indeed, I take special pride in applying practical and innovative solutions to challenging workplace issues.I am a senior litigator with broad experience handling complex, document-intensivelitigation across Canada. I have argued cases at all levels of courts in Ontario as well as the Supreme Court of British Columbia, the New Brunswick Court of Queen’sBench and, federally, the Trial Division and Court of Appeal. I’ve also appeared before the Supreme Court of Canada. On a day-to-day basis, I enjoy working with human resource professionals to manage employee relationships in a way that supports their company’s business goals. I also advise employees, helping them resolve workplace issues. If an employee has been terminated, I work diligently to achieve a just result through negotiation or litigation. As a footnote, I was lead counsel in the 2003 landmark case of Amertek v CanadianCommercial Corporation which was the first decision to apply:• Waiver of Tort in Ontario since the 1920’s;• The US doctrine of Superior Knowledge; and• The “Documents in Possession” doctrine to internal government memosLet’s connect.
