Fixed an issue that nearly burned out the Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) onboard the Suomi NPP Satellite. A failure in command / telemetry processing and decommutation cascaded into a corrupted memory model when the new command load was generated. I developed solutions to decommutate the remaining 900+ commands across five instruments whose bit patterns matched multiple commands.Duties: Fix mission critical bugs in, and develop must-have functionality for, the Satellite Operations - Command Load Generation (SO-CLG) subsystem of the NPOESS Preparatory Project (NPP) satellite system prior to launch.
