CurrentResponsible for examining and directing the examination and interpretation of all legal documents in issuing evidence of title. Reconciling title problems and developing and maintaining business by the use of sales and service techniques. Examines mortgages, liens, judgments, easements, plat books, maps, contracts, and agreements to verify legal description, ownership, restrictions, or conformity to requirements.Analyzes encumbrances to title, statutes and case law, and prepares title commitment outlining encumbrances and actions required to clear title.Copies or summarizes recorded documents, such as mortgages, trust deeds, and contracts, affecting title to property.Review legal descriptions consisting of metes and bounds and related surveys to ensure a complete and accurate review of encumbrances which may affect title.Searches records to determine if delinquent taxes are due.Utilization of SoftPro Select software.Utilization of DataTrace, TDI Title Data, Property Synch and Title Point software to access and research Plant records as applicable in the State of Texas and the State of Washington.
