Category Manager-Responsible for growth and success of four corporate Merchants handling the categories of Electrical, Lighting, Tools, Hardware, Paint and Paint Sundries.-Accountable for driving sales through product selection, product presentation / merchandising, advertising, retails and promotional opportunities. Current categories account for around $100 million in annual sales.-Responsible for maintaining Gross Margin Return On Investment through cost negotiations, pricing models, improving turns, and controlling inventory.

Buyer/Merchant-Worked in two retail stores the first nine months to gain a better understanding of the business.-Moved into the office as a Buyer after working in the stores.-Initial responsibilities included replenishment, LIFO, advertising, and accounts payable for many categories.-In 1998 restructuring, promoted to Tool and Seasonal Program Buyer position. Vendor negotiations, product selection, merchandising, retails, gross margin, advertising, and promotions became main focus.
