I work with proteins and their ligands, focused on studying their structural and functional relationship and characterising the atomic details of their interaction. The main tool for this has been NMR spectroscopy; however, I have also worked with cryoEM, crystallography, protein-ligand binding docking computer calculations, molecular modeling and isothermal titration calorimetry. My scientific interest lies within protein science and the discovery of the modus operandi of proteins. My research career has taken me through areas such as cancer and malaria research, RNA biology and studying the side-effects from antibiotics.
