My focus is on people. Everything we do in this industry revolves around individuals—clients facing challenges, communities needing support, and staff striving to make a difference. My goal is to foster those relationships to ensure we deliver on our promises.Initially, my career in construction prioritized projects over people, leading to authoritarian leadership that stifled growth. Transitioning to engineering, I was initially only driven by results, often overlooking others’ needs. This changed when I began leading a motivated public works team; I began to recognize how supporting individuals fostered more positive outcomes. This marked the beginning of my journey toward servant leadership.Years later, I’ve embrace servant leadership wholeheartedly. I find joy in helping others feel fulfilled, which has led to strong relationships with staff and clients alike. Great engineering goes beyond technical skills; it thrives on an engaged team and clear communication, all rooted in effective leadership.So, when evaluating a project, ask not just, “Can they engineer this?” but “Will I enjoy working with them?”. My aim is to build a relationship where the answer is a resounding yes!
