I copy-edit research reports and do some original research. I've spent most of my time on "Skills Gap: Supply and Demand in the Massachusetts Economy," a series of reports covering employment and educational attainment data in eight distinct regions in the state.

Supervised the production of the magazine: copy-editing, proofreading, acting as a liaison with our printer, and posting all content to our website. I created a blog, CW Unbound, and was then part of the team creating a new website for CommonWealth magazine and MassINC.

Wrote regularly on local and national politics, television, theater, and books; assigned and edited stories for annual "Best of Boston" issue; hired and supervised workers entering data for annual "Fall Preview" and "Summer Preview" issues; created and maintained database for arts listings.

Copy-edited or proofread all material in the weekly newspaper; designed pages on the Quark desktop-publishing program.

Worked on a free-lance basis for such clients as Harvard University, the Gillette Company, Fidelity Investments, and Boston Common Press.

Assigned and edited stories for the sports, education, and holiday sections; was the first editor of the "One in Ten" gay-and-lesbian section.

Copy-edited and proofread all stories and listings in the weekly newspaper and all special sections.

Compiled all listings for the weekly Arts section, working with administrators at arts and nonprofit organizations throughout New England.

Was a general reporter in the city of Leominster, Massachusetts, covering local politics and writing the "police beat" column.

Wrote press releases, answered constituents' mail, and conducted research for the congressman, who served on the House Judiciary Committee.
