Upon relocating to Washington D.C. for the purpose of my wife's foreign service posting, I took the plunge and assumed the role of primary carer of our two young boys (aged 23 months and 11 weeks on arrival in the USA). Easily the hardest thing I have ever done and one of my proudest achievements.I continued research interests in the intellectual property field during this period, authoring the chapter “The Australian Resale Royalty Right for Indigenous Artists: Indigenous Art and Social Justice” in Indigenous Intellectual Property: A Handbook of Contemporary Research (Edward Elgar).

Members pay a low annual fee which gives access to bulk billed medical appointments and other health services with the doctor of the patient’s choice.

Extended secondment (from Minter Ellison) with the eHealth Division of the Australian Department of Health, working on the My Health Record (then called Personally Controlled Electronic Health Record) project. Assisted the department to prepare for the commencement of My Health Record in July 2012 – including providing legislative compliance assurance and advising on and drafting operational policies and consumer registration documentation – providing ongoing assistance on implementing healthcare provider registration, and advising on updates to system functionality.
